On 1955 Fantozzi Snc located in Reggiolo (RE) was already working on carpentry field (welding, cutting, shaping of sheet metal plate) and on 1994 the Company started the production of first electric vehicles for logistic for its own use inside the factory.

On 1995 was founded a Company named FABOR located in Reggiolo (RE), a factory closed to Fantozzi Snc, specialized in manufacturing electric carts for internal handlings of goods and persons.

On 1997 FABOR discontinued the activity and the production of electric vehicles was carried-out by Fantozzi Snc by creating a specific division of Handling Machines.

On 2003 the Handling Division moved to the new location in Rio Saliceto (RE) and became Fantozzi Electric Carts Srl, the new plant is placed on the main road between Carpi (MO) and Guastalla (RE), in addition the Company entered the MarPlast group, leader company in the filed of cleaning industry.

Fantozzi Electric Carts's structure is the following:

• Engineering Dept. and After-Sales Service: 2 Technicians in charge of R & D, study of new products, design, drawings, industrialization and service
• Marketing and Sales Dept: 2 operators in charge of customer's contacts, market research and customer's requirements
• Accounting Dept.: 1 employer in charge of customers/suppliers accountings and financial operations
• Production: 3 operators in charge of assembling mechanical, electric and electronic components, working test and final inspection of the vehicles

Now Fantozzi Electric Carts is able to offer a complete range of electric vehicles:

• Electric towing tractors with towing capacity from 500 to 4000 kg.
• Electric platform tractors for goods transport, ground picking and 1^st level picking
• Industrial electric scooters
• Hospital electric tractors for beds movement

The vehicles'name Colibrì gives the idea of speed, steering, small dimensions and safety operations which Fantozzi's machines reply to. These features make the carts suitable and necessary for every kind of handling operations when the goods are not packed on pallet.

The most important qualities of Colibrì are:

• CE Certification of conformity in accordance with EC regulations No. 98/37
• 626 Respect of European regulation about heavy loads
• 2000 kg Max loading capacity of the electric platform trucks
• 80 cm Max.width, to respect dimensions of doors inside factories, to go through narrow spaces and corridors
• 4000 kg Max towing capacity of the electric tractors

Fantozzi's electric vehicles have been studied for carrying-out all handling operations in order to increase the productivity at highest level.

Customers can ask for machines meeting their own requirements: Fantozzi is structured to supply custom-made vehicles having specific motorizations, accessories and chassis dimensions.

When the operator drives a Colibrì, he's driving a safety and comfortable vehicles.

Fantozzi Electric Carts srl is dealing both on domestic than on international markets and on 2005 presented the new design of the complete range of Colibrì during the Cemat exhibition in Hannover; in particular the vehicles had restyled front cover (now on fibreglass) and a new restyled dashboard.

This new design makes the machines modern and graceful while technical features remain the same.

On 2007 Fantozzi Electric Carts srl changes its communicating strategy towards the market and cooperate with GIERRE Marketing & Advertising Agency (Carpi-MO). The new name of the product range is Electricporters: it explains better the real machine's features, Fantozzi vehicles are electric deliverymen. Fantozzi renames its products and new catalogues are mainly addressed to professional and operators on logistic & handling field.
